Large Tonga Basket
The Large Tonga Basket is a striking piece of African wall decor, handwoven by Tonga women artisans in the remote Binga district of Zimbabwe. Featuring bold geometric patterns and a beautifully detailed herringbone rim, each basket is crafted using traditional weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations.
Made from locally harvested palm leaves, wild grasses, and natural fibers dyed with tree bark, these artisan baskets bring warmth, texture, and cultural heritage into the home. Their larger scale makes them perfect as statement wall decor or layered into a collected basket gallery wall.
Every basket is uniquely handmade, supporting fair trade artisan communities while helping preserve traditional weaving craftsmanship in Zimbabwe.
