Isheja Basket
Celebrate heritage, artistry, and resilience with the Isheja Basket, a limited-edition piece handwoven by refugee artisans in Rwanda. Designed by Charlotte M. and members of the Hope Cooperative, this basket was created in honor of World Refugee Day and named Isheja, meaning "Dignity" in Kinyarwanda.
Vibrant and full of meaning, this unique basket features a colorful array of hand-dyed sisal and raffia fibers—woven around bunches of sweetgrass using the ancient coil weaving technique. Whether styled on a wall, used as a fruit bowl, or displayed on a shelf, the Isheja Basket brings purpose, beauty, and hope into any space.
